SpArc Services
Multidiscipline Arts Program
Studio 2
The Cultural Arts program at SpArc Services fosters creativity, self-confidence, and community connections for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities through classes in the visual and performing arts.
Artists and performers work individually, and in small groups with teaching artists and mentors, to foster their independence through skill and talent acquisition. These individuals create unique art; participate in dance performances; write poetry and scripts; and design and act in theatrical pieces. Their art has been shown throughout the city such as Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, City Hall, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and visual performers have participated in/worked with the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Philadelphia Circus Arts, and the Philadelphia Ballet.
