Event Guidelines
Due to construction on the new Park at Penn’s Landing, many summer events will be relocated. However, visitors can expect more free, family-friendly activities, live music, and attractions than ever before.
For event updates and details, visit DelawareRiverWaterfront.com/events and CherryStreetPier.com/events.
Please note the following event guidelines when visiting our site(s). All guests will be subject to security screenings at public events at DRWC-owned parks:
-
Chairs: Chairs may be occupied in public spaces during a special event or before the start of a special event. Any chair(s) left unoccupied will be removed. We understand this practice was a long-standing tradition on Penn’s Landing; however, our top priority is the security and safety of guests visiting the Delaware River Waterfront.
-
Food and Drink: Outside food and beverages are allowed at all parks except Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest and Winterfest. Outside, alcohol is prohibited inside DRWC-owned public spaces. Guests bringing outside alcohol can/will be asked to leave and escorted from the premises. Guests can bring their food and nonalcoholic beverages in plastic and/or disposal bottles. No glass bottles are permitted. Food and drinks are available for purchase at Spruce Street Harbor Park, Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest, Cherry Street Pier, and many other Waterfront destinations such as Morgan’s Pier, Liberty Point, Moshulu, and Keating’s Rope and Anchor Bar + Kitchen.
-
Coolers: Coolers are not allowed at events at DRWC-owned and operated parks.
-
Smoking: Smoking – including e-cigarettes and/or vaping mechanisms – is not allowed on any DRWC-owned and operated property.
-
Weapons: No weapons, including firearms or explosives such as fireworks, are allowed at any DRWC parks.
