DRWC Presents Tubachristmas
Join us as the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC) Presents Tubachristmas on December 15 at 2 pm at Cherry Street Pier.
Classic Christmas songs touch the hearts of millions. Tubachristmas takes that sentimental feeling to the next level by showcasing 100+ tuba players performing the world’s most beloved holiday tunes.
Tubachristmasses take place across the U.S. and abroad and gives players of tuba, euphonium, and related instruments (such as sousaphone, baritone, etc.) the opportunity to “blow in” the holiday season in glorious four-part harmony.
The event will be conducted by Jay Krush, artist-in-residence in tuba and euphonium at the Boyer College of Music, Temple University. Krush is also tubist with the Philadelphia Ballet Orchestra, and a founding member of the Grammy Award-winning Chestnut Brass Company.
Parking on-site will be limited due to I-95 CAP construction. However, many great ways to access the Waterfront include walking and biking along the Delaware River Trail, rideshare, and public transit. To ensure a seamless visit, guests can visit the ‘Know Before You Go’ guide for parking recommendations, directions, FAQs, and more.
Don’t miss this festive performance on Sunday, December 15, at 2 p.m. at Cherry Street Pier. The event is free and open to the public. Cherry Street Pier is open seven days a week, rain or shine.
