(EVENT UPDATE) Our America Now: Expressions of Freedom and Waterfront Fireworks part of Wawa Welcome America
Due to the anticipated attendance size, Our America Now will be moving to The Oval XP on the Parkway on Friday, July 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wawa Welcome America Waterfront Fireworks are still scheduled for Friday, July 1st at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks can be enjoyed along the Delaware River Waterfront.
This immersive experience brings to life pivotal moments of diverse American history and tells the stories of influential individuals. Local, national and international artists will use spoken word, dance, and song to portray personal and historical stories rooted in passionate expressions of freedom. Guests will be invited to be part of the performance by joining the storytelling stage. This event features DJs, live artistic performances, interactive activities, food trucks, Philly’s largest beer garden and more!
The event will be hosted by Aunyea Lachelle & Karen Hua and feature performances by Ursula Rucker, Amber Hikes, Luis Marrero, Bri Steves, Tchin, QuentinThePoet, Treena Ferebee, We Are the Seeds, Olive Dance Theatre, Mic Phillips, Candelaria Beatty, DJ D-ILL, Visionary the Poet, Evan Wang, Seraiah Nicole, Project Positive, Philly Surfers, Marshall James Kavanaugh, T SLEEVELESS, Jeffy Thomas and Starfire.
Wawa Welcome America Waterfront Fireworks are still scheduled for Friday, July 1st at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks can be enjoyed along the Delaware River Waterfront. Cherry Street Pier, Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest, Spruce Street Harbor Park and all Delaware River Waterfront parks and restaurants will be open with normal operating hours.
