5th Anniversary Exhibition and Party
Join us in commemorating the 5th Anniversary of Cherry Street Pier with a special exhibition on display from October 27 through January 1. Free. All ages.
On October 12, 2018, the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC) opened Cherry Street Pier, as a vibrant community space and artist hub. What was once an old municipal shipping Pier that stood vacant for many years prior to its transformation, has become a staple in the Philadelphia arts community playing host to hundreds of exhibitions, installations, markets, and events since it opened 5 years ago.
Now as the Pier turns 5, celebrate its rich history, current impact, and bright future through a special exhibition featuring studio artists – Acori Honzo and LaWanda Shepherd, SpArc Services, SunKissed Media Group, James Abbott, Ana Thorne, Nyambi Royster, Athena Scott, Thomcat23, Amy Kelly, Michael Thomas, Becky DuMual, Walls for Justice, Cassie Jones, Bonnie MacAllister, and Orchestra 2001.
Celebrate the exhibition opening at the 5th Anniversary Birthday bash on Friday, October 27 at the Pier from 5 pm to 8 pm. Join us for a Halloween-themed extravaganza come dressed to impress in your best costume, and enjoy the spooky decor, along with a live performance curated by Shekhinah B. of The Women’s Coalition for Empowerment, Inc. Plus, enjoy a bouncy house maze, party games, and other fun surprises.
