Independence Weekend on the Waterfront
Celebrate Independence Day with an epic weekend on the Delaware River Waterfront with MORE fun than ever, featuring Fireworks at 9:30 pm on June 29 only. Festivities are free and open to the public. Food, drink, and select amenities are pay-as-you-go. All ages are welcome.

Thursday, June 27
- Take the RiverLink Ferry to Hardy at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion.
- See a FREE performance of Hooky, Echo Tracer, and Null as part of the Live and Local concert series in partnership with 4333 Collective at Spruce Street Harbor Park from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Friday, June 28
- Opening Day of Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest features an expanded arcade, MORE boardwalk rides and games, and your favorite carnival fare.
- After Work Sessions, hosted by Shekhinah B., will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Spruce Street Harbor Park. Enjoy a night of music, dancing, performances, food, drinks, and more. Get ready for surprise guest performers, DJ debuts, and giveaways. Start your holiday weekend off right.
Saturday, June 29
- Liberty Flea at Cherry Street Pier from 10 am to 4 pm. Shop local antiques, home decor, furniture, vintage clothing, and handmade artisan goods you can’t find anywhere else in partnership with The Captain’s Vintage.
- Cosmic Rthyms at Cherry Street Pier from 2 pm to 9:30 pm. DJ Joshua Lang and DJ Sylo’s dedication to cultivating the power of a free-loving community through quality music. Join us by the Delaware River with live music, cocktails, vinyl record pop-ups, and world-class DJs in a beautiful setting.
- Moody’s Klubbhouse LIVEcft from 5 pm to 10 pm at Spruce Street Harbor Park. Chill Moody, Hiruy Tirfe, Mus Matos, Hudson River, and more. With Worldtown Soundsystem, Jah People, & Ben Arsenal. Part of the weekly Summer Sounds series in partnership with Rising Sun Presents.
- Join us for FIREWORKS on the Delaware River Waterfront to celebrate Independence Day. The show begins at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks can be viewed at Cherry Street Pier, Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest, Spruce Street Harbor Park, Race Street Pier, Pier 68, and Washington Avenue Pier.
Sunday, June 30

- Independence Blue Cross presents Wellness on the Waterfront at Race Street Pier at 10 a.m. Unwind Independence Day Weekend with free yoga classes curated by Three Queens Yoga.
- Enjoy FREE family activities from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Family Funday Sunday at Spruce Street Harbor Park. There will be a kid-friendly fitness class, crafts and activities while supplies last, and a free family-friendly movie screening of “Flight of the Navigator.”
- Makers Market at Spruce Street Harbor Park from 11 am to 5 pm. Shop local. Explore handcrafted treasures and vintage finds at our weekly Makers Market. Local artisans showcase their handmade jewelry, clothing, home décor, health and wellness items, paintings, and more.
PLUS, all weekend long, experience the arts by enjoying these exhibitions: The Delaware River Waterfront Presents “Commemorations”: A Flag Exhibition at Spruce Street Harbor Park (season-long); Linda Fernandez and Gregory Wright’s “Arte Reflejo” and Timothy Prettymen’s “Minimal” at Cherry Street Pier (on display through June 30).
