Cherry Street Pier is excited to announce Process, a solo exhibition featuring the works of Cherry Street Pier Studio Artist Athena Scott. Known for her vibrant canvas portraits, Scott’s latest exhibition offers a unique insight into the creative journey that shapes her style and artwork. The show will display some behind-the-scenes footage and pieces in various stages of completion, using different mediums and materials. Process will be showcased in the downstairs gallery of Cherry Street Pier starting on Friday, August 2, 2024. An opening reception with the artist will be held on August 2 from 5 pm to 8 pm. The exhibition will be open to the public until Sunday, September 1, 2024.
About Athena Scott
Scott has an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and has shown throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond. She is a recipient of the Linda Lee Alter Award and of Mural Arts Philadelphia Black Artist Fellowship. This is her second solo exhibition at Cherry Street Pier.
